Dr. Amir Pakdel is a transdisciplinary nanomaterials scientist and nanotechnologist, an assistant professor and a research group leader at Trinity College Dublin's School of Engineering. He has previously worked in University College Dublin's School of Chemistry (Ireland), Trinity College Dublin's Centre for Research on Adaptive Nanostructures and Nanodevices (CRANN; Ireland), National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS; Japan), and World Premier International Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics (WPI-MANA; Japan). He has investigated the application of nanomaterials and nanocomposites in diverse research topics, including: Renewable energy harvesting & storage, thermoelectric materials & devices, Flexible & wearable electronics, Additive manufacturing, Functional surfaces, Biomedical sensors, and Sustainability.
