Assistant Professor (Statistics)

Hi! I am a Lecturer/ Assistant Professor in Statistics in the School of Computer Science and Statistics at Trinity College Dublin, where I conduct research in Statistics and teach Statistics to students. Prior to this, I was an Assistant Professor in Statistics in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at University College Dublin, where in the past I have also worked as a PostDoc in the VistaMilk SFI Research Centre with Prof. Claire Gormley and in the ERC-ADIET project with Prof. Claire Gormley and Prof. Lorraine Brennan. I obtained a PhD in Statistics from Sapienza, University of Rome, working with Prof. Marco Alfo' My Research focuses on developing novel statistical methods starting from data-motivated problems, where either the existing methods are not adequate, or there is no methodology for data analysis. I am particularly interested in the application of Bayesian inference and latent variable models in the areas of statistical network analysis, statistical modelling or nutrition and metabolomics and, since recently, statistical modelling for applications in ecology and environmental sciences. . I am currently in the committee of the Irish Statistical Association (ISA), serving as Ordinary member.
