Professor Coman researches in the areas of elections, party politics and local politics, with a focus on quasi-experimental methods, in particular Regression Discontinuity Design. His articles have been published in journals such as Journal of Politics, Comparative Political Studies, European Journal of Political Research, Political Science Research and Methods, West European Politics, Legislative Studies Quarterly. He is the co-author of the 2024 book "A Liberal Education?" (Cambridge University Press.) Professor Coman received his Ph.D. from University in North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2012. Prior to joining Trinity he worked as a Lecturer at University of Oxford (2014-2016) and a Post Doctoral Prize Fellow at Nuffield College, Oxford (2012-2014).
