Senior Technical Officer (Electronic & Elect. Engineering)
Cormac Molloy graduated from Trinity College Dublin with degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering (BA, BAI) in 2014. This was followed by a research masters (MSc) in the EEE department under Dr. Martin Burke. This research was funded by the Norwegian Research Council and was conducted in collaboration with Laerdal Medical, focusing on the modelling dry electrodes for a handheld ECG amplifier. The degree was awarded in 2017. After completing the research masters, I started working for CreVinn Teoranta as a FPGA/ASIC design and verification engineer. As part of this work, I collaborated with Dr. Charles Gillan and Dr. Ivor Spence from the High-Performance Computing research group in Queen's University Belfast under the Intertrade Ireland scheme. This resulted in a postgraduate diploma in Business and Management (PGDip) from QUB in 2017. I returned to TCD in 2020 as a Senior Technical Officer where I specialise in digital and analogue circuit design, as well as having an interest in embedded systems.
