Dr. Katrin Dreyer-Gibney

Dr. Katrin Dreyer-Gibney, an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Trinity Business School in Dublin, Ireland, gained over 30 years of experience in the international service industry, higher education, and global shared services. She holds a PhD from Trinity Business School, an MBA from the Open University, and a Business degree from Munich's College of Commerce. In her current research project, Katrin works with small and medium-sized businesses to operationalise the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Her primary focus lies in sustainability-oriented service innovation (SOSI) Katrin employs action research and transdisciplinary collaboration to create a robust framework for translating sustainability visions into actionable strategies. Additionally, Katrin serves as a mentor to international students pursuing a master"s degree in Global Challenges for Sustainability with CHARM-EU. Katrin has worked with organisations like Deutsche Bahn, Munich Airport, Hilton International, Hertz International, and Trinity College Dublin Operations. Katrin has played a key role in centralising European shared services, establishing multilingual customer service operations units, the renewal of university administrative support services, managing the commercialisation of university services, and operationalising policies such as emergency planning, risk management, and workplace wellbeing. Throughout her career, Katrin has blended her academic engagement with practical application. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, where she shares her expertise with undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Trinity Business School, she also holds a senior management position in the Trinity Human Resources Department.
